Academic Excellence & Elite Background

Ms. Li Sijia is a distinguished Guzheng virtuoso and a visionary music educator with over 30 years of artistic immersion and 15 years of professional pedagogical experience. Her academic journey spans across continents, holding a Master’s degree in Music Performance from the prestigious Xinghai Conservatory of Music and a Master’s degree in Cultural Mediation from the University of Hildesheim, Germany. This rare combination of elite Eastern conservatory training and Western cross-cultural pedagogical research allows her to offer a unique, world-class learning experience in Singapore.

Artistic Philosophy: Sincerity & Relaxed Energy

At the heart of Li Sijia’s teaching is the belief that “Sincerity is the soul of musicality.” She emphasizes a state of “relaxed energy”—a physical and mental alignment that allows performers to connect deeply with their instrument. This philosophy has guided her students to not only master technical precision but to find their own authentic voice in music.

Professional Adjudication & International Recognition

An influential figure in the global arts scene, Ms. Li Sijia frequently serves as a professional judge for international competitions, including the GIYAF International Youth Arts Festival (Singapore Finals). Under her mentorship, students from Jasmine Guzheng Studio consistently achieve excellence, most recently securing the GOLD AWARD at the 2026 Singapore Golden Lion Awards International Music Festival.

Commitment to Singapore’s Arts Ecosystem

Beyond individual tuition, Ms. Li Sijia is dedicated to building a vibrant local music community. She founded the Jasmine Guzheng Ensemble to foster collective artistic growth and leads the studio in its expansion into Music Theory and Fundamental Piano education. Her commitment extends to social responsibility, having organized major student recitals and regular charity performances at elderly homes, ensuring that traditional music remains a living, breathing part of Singaporean society.
